Country Field & Farm Landscapes in needle felted wool: 2 Day workshop Thursday, 11/5/26, 12:30 - 4:30 pm and Friday, 11/6/26 12:30 - 3:30 $210 registration + $40 materials fee Limit 8 participants. Workshop Location: River Bottom Studio, 74 South Main St, Marshall, NC 28753 About the workshop: This 2-Day needle-felted landscape workshop will guide you step-by-step to develop several pieces. From fields and sky to barns and bales, with over 18 different fibers in your roving kit, you will be guided through special techniques to capture the movement of clouds, sunlight on the field and the shading and volume of barns and haybales that are rooted in the landscape. Each student receives a kit with a range of dyed wool roving in the project palette, felting needles, acrylic felt pinned to your own foam block worksurface plus handouts outlining steps and inspiration images. All materials are provided with the $40 materials fee, due in class. These materials are yours to take home to pursue more studio projects. Beginners are welcome in this workshop. General felting processes are explained as we go, as well as each fiber and technique as it's applied. Although we all follow the same steps together, each piece is unique.
