Suite #100 Asheville, NC 28801 Prerequisite: Previous needle felting experience is very helpful. In this single session we will work step-by-step together on a scene including golden hay bales in a vibrant field. With all the right colors and textures in your roving kit we will work through special techniques to capture the rounded forms, the glisten of straw in the sun, and grounded shadows emerging from the field. We will complete a piece during class. Previous needle felting experience is very helpful. For a thorough introduction to the tools, techniques and materials it is recommended to begin with an introductory workshop, however it is not necessary to complete this in-class project. All materials are all provided with the $40 material fee, due in class. These include a kit for each student with a range of dyed wool roving in the project palette, felting needles, acrylic felt pinned to a foam block and printed materials outlining tools, fibers and resources. Classes are held in the Local Cloth Community Dye Studio (in the River Arts District) 408 Depot St., #100, Asheville, NC 28801 There is plenty of parking available in the area, with a public parking lot right across the street.
