Blue Skies in Needle Felted Wool, Saturday, May 23, 2026, 12:30-4:30 pm Cost: $140 registration (online) + $40 material fee (due in class), Limit 12 participants. Workshop Location: River Bottom Studio, 74 -E South Main St, Marshall, NC 28753 About the workshop: Clear your head with this single session project! We will focus on the rich, blue sky with layers of windswept clouds over a vibrant field. In your kit you will have various fibers that lend themselves to different cloud formations, as well as a full spectrum of color for the ground below. Working together, step-by-step, we will build the full landscape, from vibrant blue skies to underlayers of earthy color. You can complete the project in class or continue at home. All materials are provided with the materials fee, due in class. Each student receives a kit with a range of dyed wool roving in the project palette, felting needles, acrylic felt pinned to your own foam block worksurface plus handouts outlining steps and inspiration images. These materials are yours to take home to pursue more studio projects. Beginners are welcome in this workshop. You will be introduced to each fiber and technique, and every piece is unique to the maker, regardless of guidance or experience.
