Fall Forest in Needle Felted Wool $130/$30 material fee 1 day, Wednesday, December 6th, 12-4:00pm Workshop Location: Local Cloth Community Dye Studio, 408 Depot St. Suite #100, Asheville, NC 28801 Prerequisite: Previous needle felting experience is very helpful. In this single session we will work on bright FALL forest scene together. With all the right colors and textures of wool in your roving kit we will build the scene from vibrant treetops to fallen leaves. We will work the composition step-by-step and complete the piece during class, while I share all my secrets and shortcuts to capture the autumn mood. You only need the basic understanding of tools and materials to work along with the group. (If you'd like to start with a more comprehensive lesson in needle felting tools and techniques I recommend one of my Intro Workshops.) All necessary materials are provided with the $30 material fee, due in class. These include a kit for each student with a collection of dyed wool roving in the landscape palette, felting needles, acrylic felt pinned to a foam block and printed materials outlining tools, fibers and resources. Prerequisite: none Class will be held in the Local Cloth Community Dye Studio (in the River Arts District) 408 Depot St., #100, Asheville, NC 28801 (north end of building) There is plenty of parking available in the area, with a public parking lot right across the street.
