Moon Shadows in Needle Felted Wool - Monday, June 29, 2026, 12:30-4:30 pm Cost: $140 registration (online) + $40 material fee (due in class), Limit 12 participants. Workshop Location: River Bottom Studio, 74 -E South Main St, Marshall, NC 28753 About the workshop: In this single session project we will work on a moody, moonlit woodland scene. With all the right colors in your roving kit we will build the scene from night sky to forest floor using surprising layers of color to create an atmospheric effect. The final step is to play with the shadows until they beckon you into the landscape. You can complete the project in class or continue at home. All materials are provided with the materials fee, due in class. Each student receives a kit with a range of dyed wool roving in the project palette, felting needles, acrylic felt pinned to your own foam block worksurface plus handouts outlining steps and inspiration images. These materials are yours to take home to pursue more studio projects. Beginners are welcome in this workshop. You will be introduced to each fiber and technique, and every piece is unique to the maker, regardless of guidance or experience.
